Primary Component

In any package, one component is always the largest, heaviest, or thickest. This is considered the primary component of the overall package and is often the part that holds the product. Examples include: a water bottle (primary component) with a cap and label (sub-components), an aluminum tray (primary component) with a seal (sub-component) for a ready-to-eat oven meal, and a cardboard box (primary component) for frozen vegetables.
