Metallized Packaging Material
Metal-coated packaging material can consist of various base materials, onto which a metal layer is applied on one side. The material may have a thin layer of metal, usually aluminum, applied either by vapor deposition or by a thermotransfer layer, serving as a barrier or decorative coating. The difference between vapor-deposited metal and an added layer lies in the thickness.
